دعت المديرة العامة لصندوق النقد الدولي كريستين لاغارد أمس الدول الأعضاء إلى اتخاذ تدابير “عاجلة” تتيح البدء بإصلاح الصندوق المفترض أن يعطي وزنا اكبر للبلدان الناشئة والذي تعرقله في الواقع الولايات المتحدة .وللبدء بتطبيق إصلاح إدارة صندوق النقد الدولي الذي تم تبنيه في 2010، يجب ان تصادق عليه 113 من الدول الأعضاء ال188، ما يمثل 85% من حقوق التصويت في مجلس الإدارة.وبحسب اخر تقرير لصندوق النقد الدولي الاثنين فان 105 دول فقط تمثل 66,1% من حقوق التصويت وافقت عليه. والولايات المتحدة التي تملك حق النقض مع 16,7% من الاصوات، هي البلد الوحيد في مجموعة الثماني الذي لم يطرح الموضوع للمصادقة البرلمانية.ونقل بيان للصندوق عن لاغارد قولها “ادعو بالحاح الدول الاعضاء التي لم تقم بذلك الى الاسراع في اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة”، مرحبة في الوقت نفسه ب”التقدم الكبير” المنجز.والاصلاح الذي يقضي بمضاعفة الموارد الدائمة (المساهمات) للصندوق، الى نحو 767 مليار دولار، حظي بالنصاب وحقوق التصويت الكافية.
